There are organizations out there that can help women who are in the same position that I was in. In NC there is an organization called Helpmate. I wish that I had known about these at the time. Maybe my injuries could have been prevented to some degree. We are not alone..there are many women out there that are going through abuse at home. I thought that I was the only one.
I have since joined a support group with many women like me.
My children also go and they now realize that they are not alone in the pain that they suffer.
